Terms & Conditions of use
Generally:
Please note that we retain the right to edit and/or remove posts at any time, for any reason. By posting to a forum or chat on Piasa Area Discussion Forum, you agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions
More specifically:
The Piasa Area Discussion Forum is your opportunity to talk about and Discuss Just about anything of interest to you and others.
We believe fervently in the freedom of speech, and will diligently defend your right to have and speak your opinion. However we do insist that you treat us and our other guests with respect!
We value the time and effort you take to read and post to the Forums and our preference is to avoid regulating or editing the content of posts and to be as lenient as possible in granting privileges to members.
We do have a responsibility to enforce certain standards to ensure that the FORUM is open, fair, and respectful of the people who choose to post here. Complying with the terms and conditions of participation are the responsibilities of every user registered or not. Abuse of the forum will leave the Piasa team no option save to make and enforce stricter guidelines, and reduce user privileges, which we would rather not do.
Scope
Piasa Area Discussion Forum is intended primarily to serve the citizens of the local Piasa area, which for our purposes is loosely defined as within 100 miles or so of the Piasa Petroglyph near Alton Illinois. This area includes the greater Saint Louis Metropolitan area and numerous smaller cities, towns, and other communities both rural and urban. This area includes a large population in the millions with a wide range of diverse and different backgrounds and cultural heritage.
Usage of this Forum is not limited to the citizens of this area (although by its nature it is most applicable to them) and users from other areas even from other countries will not be denied services, so long as they abide by the rather lenient rules set forward here.
